In the age of information, ignorance is a choice

द्वावेव चिन्तया मुक्तौ
परमानन्द आप्लुतौ ।
यो विमुग्धो जडो बालो
यो गुणेभ्यः परं गतः ॥

Ramanujan, the great scientist who knew infinity, fails in his other subjects. He believed that his mind and conscious is prepared for innovation and solving the theorems that sets basis for mankind under the direction of goddess, he trusted. He emphasized why to cram the things that are already recorded. He was aligned his goals immensely that in the field of mathematics he did the miracles.

What summarises this that in the era of ample information, wisdom is to choose the ignorance. What is important to us and how much is very crucial to manage. Sometimes excessive of information actually confuses us to larger extent that deviates our major concern.

I present world, information is just one click far, but authenticity is major risk and important is, google is making us more lethargic and brain lazy. Because earlier to solve single query required lots of books, discussions, brain storming and massive hard work. This entire process helps in building not only knowledge but also perseverance and contentment. Whereas today, all this is wiped out by single click. The ill effects of screen time and seclusion are beyond counting.

The role of oil in fire is done by media. Genuinely if anyone wants to gain something, it's very important to avoid our TRP earning media and difficult task is to search much authentic source of accurate information. Because unnecessary listening to subjects that doesn't belongs to us is even more dangerous than sitting idle.

Current generation has to face this alot because they are surrounded by number of information but lacks authenticity and offcourse cuts the proper route. More challenging is that adolescent age can't ignore the short cuts and this jugaad inculcates in their attributes coincidentally. Reaching out the results lacks the basic understanding and skills this impacting the quality for sure.

Reading books can't be replaced ever as step by step improvements, learning and growing are the traits to build strong foundations.
Today we can have people who are full of information, but entirely lacking in wisdom. What use are they even to themselves if, as Plato wrote: “The unexamined life is not worth living.”?

Data is not information
Information is not knowledge
Knowledge is not understanding, and
Understanding is not wisdom.

In the age of information, ignorance is choice.
