External nature is only internal nature writ large
यथा चित्तं तथा वाचो यथा वाचस्तथा क्रिया । चित्ते वाचि क्रियायां च साधूनामेकरूपता ॥ As is the mind, so is the speech; as is the speech so is the action. Of the good people there is uniformity in mind, speech and action. The statement signifies that according to the internal nature i.e. our thoughts, our behaviour, our external nature i.e how we speak and interact with others turns out to be. We always speak what we think and our behaviour reflect your mind. If we don’t learn to control our thoughts, we will never learn how to control our behaviour. As changing behaviour is a matter of giving people analysis to influence their thoughts then helping them to see a truth.
