कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन । मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि ॥
Actions should be our priority. Efforts must be pure and divine without the anticipation of results. This is most difficult step to follow and obviously hard aims to target are always blissful as sun glows because of intense burning. 2. Embrace Detachment
यदृच्छलाभासन्तुष्टो द्वंद्वतीतो विमत्सर: |
सम: सिद्धवसिद्धौ च कृत्वापि न निबध्यते ||
Only change is permanent in this Earth and nothing prevails forever. The sooner humans understand this, peace and serenity exist. Turmoil sustains because of attachments that we humans continue and when it reaches to end, it affects very badly thus deteriorates mankind immensely. Bhagwat Geeta ji teaches to learn detachment from materialism, emotions, expectations, loving ones and even our own body. Learning detachment brings calmness and acceptance in life thus improving mental wellness
3. Cultivate a stable mind
दुःखेष्वनुद्विग्नमनाः सुखेषु विगतस्पृहः ।
वीतरागभयक्रोधः स्थितधीर्मुनिरुच्यते ||
Developing the spiritual consciousness and harmony helps in cultivation of stable and peaceful mind. It thrives mindfulness meditation gestures. Relax mind helps in reaching out the solutions to the life's problems. If mind is stable it resists the weeds of overthinking to grow. Training the mind to act in much progressive manner rather than getting stuck with all unnecessary thoughts.
4. Surrender to higher power
सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज ।
अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुच: ॥
To accept that we humans are just the puppets of supreme power, he owns the main lead that is responsible for every actions that is happening on this might Earth, even in universe. Destiny is pre planned and everything is already fixed. It's all karma fal, so why overthinking to prevail longer when nothing is in our control. Therefore, relating each actions, thoughts to supreme consciousness makes humans feel calm, serene and lighter. Surrender to higher power makes us more aware, centric and conscious.
5. Accept Impermanence
असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ||
Bhagwat Geeta emphasis the transient nature of life's struggles and joys. Overthinking just raises the concerns, worries and anxiety about the tasks that easily heals up with the time. Accepting that everything is temporary and nothing lasts longer, helps in recovering the irrelevant worries that concretes because of overthinking.
