Is India genuinely on the path of digitalization ?

With no doubt, India's economic growth is touching new heights. When entire world is struggling for the recession and economic slow down, India, Russia, Brazil are evident of rising up in terms of economic development. India is surpassing Japan, Germany soon and will be becoming 3rd largest economy in the world. Inflation rate is also within permissible range. Diplomacy is the strongest weapon that our country is equipped with. Digitalization i.e. UPI payment has revolutionarised the nation's performance in the world. India is committed to turn green energy country by 2050, by reducing our dependency on fossils and development of digitalization and Electrical equipments. 

Reality check for country's Digitalization and Automation :- 

India's youth is digitally very active and have the courage of consuming daily data plans in half of the day itself. Influencers are earning massive on social media platforms. Entrepreneurs are branding and marketing their products in social media, earning huge. Local for vocal an initiative to boost local businesses are reaching out to the desired customers by using search engine google or any social platforms. Online and digital teachings are in vogue, whereas the platform India teachers are using is YouTube and if in case any website or app is developed that too need US based Google play Store to download such apps with respective permissions. If not following the Google guidelines, within seconds that app or website can loose it's identity. Bitter truth that Indians are only content creators not the digital application or platform creator. Our country is extremely dependent on Facebook, Instagram, MasterCard Visa, YouTube, Google search engine, Play Store, and several other digital platforms. 

Country with great STEM subjects wisdom generation, country whose citizens are world's best technocrat and are CEO of major companies, is lacking in basic amenities of digitalization, such factors are enough to embarrass India's performance. We are doing all the hard work to generate revenues for the owner of all digital platforms. Make in India is confined maximum to the assembly of parts and very minimal in the field of generation or manufacturing from the raw. India lacking to have our own social media platforms, our own seach engine, our own manufacturing units of mobile phones or any electronic devices, and list goes on. We have distanced ourselves miles from the manufacturing sector and comfortable adjusted to the service sector i.e. satisfied to be a customer of all such applications. 

Hard to believe yet convenient to understand that in geopolitics there is no permanent enemy no friend, there are only permanent interest. Any day can come when western countries threaten India for the sanctions and may cease all the digital platforms on which Indians livelihood is highly dependent. Likewise Turkey President Erdogan has posted something against Israel and because it was against the wish of USA so Instragram soon deleted the posts, in retaliation president has cut down the services of Instragram in Turkey, within small span, people of Turkey got upset with their own president as population is extremely dependent on Instragram. Same Russia and Russians have to witness when western countries has imposed numerous sanctions after the Ukraine and Russia conflict. This is high time for India to learn from such countries that how to reduce our dependency on other nations. And knowing the significance of such dependency is highly appreciable but not doing anything is next level foolishness. China has judged such abnormalities quite before and managed extremely well. As China is enough independent in almost all spheres. They have their own manufacturing, own social media platforms, own services, in order words, after USA, self sufficient and self reliant country. This thing ought to be learned and adopted rigorously in our country to become in future self reliant. 

The magnificent example is Israel, what not they are suffering, no natural resources available, neighbours are as poisonous as serpents, almost no blessings they have, yet the strongest and extremely robust nation they have been evolved as. Israel owns almost everything on the mother nature ever exists. Recent, attack on the terrorist group Hezbollah through pager and wolky talky, is beyond the imagination. How well the execution superimposing their planning skills which elaborates their high technical attributes. India has to learn and relearn many traits that leads us on the path of success without being so dependent on other countries. 

Eventually, India is doing commendable and potential that Indians have, is beyond explanation. The land of inventions, mother land of education where Nalanda and Taxila existed, where several legends has poised their knowledge, has to bring back that charismatic identity. Investments for the science and technology, R&D, upskilling and skill orientations, instead of technology used, India has to focus on developing the technology.
