How our Legendary Barbarik has helped in developing an Integrated Guided Missile.

Our Vedas are so much ingenious,
They comprise many facts as former is versatile and heterogenous,
Vedas taught us to grow plants seedless,
Yet learning and gaining a lot still are thankless,,

Our great scientist, Homi Bhabha Jahangir wanted to make Bharat so strong that no nation can ever dare to harm us, unfortunately this he couldn't accomplish. Still momentum among our scientists never fades out and today Bharat is a country who can protect and sustain herself, and that too with scientific innovation and development.

We all know our beloved president and great scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, has developed Integrated Guided Missiles and bestows the wrought shield to nation, these are AGNI, PRITHVI,AAG etc., with diverse range and specifications. Curiosity arises how does actually these IGM works. What is the basis for such phenomenal innovation. Suddenly, reading about the same, gleaned with great warrior name - BARBARIK.

Who was Barbarik ?

According to the Skanda Purana, Barbarika was the son of Ghatotkacha and Princess Maurvi. He was BARBARIK is a legendary hero of Mahabharata who was able to finish everyone and uncountable people with his three infallible arrows .When he was asked, how much time do you need to finish this war, he stated just one minute. He was equipped with such strengthening specialization like Mantra, Shastra and Dhyan i.e. meditation, that the person might hide anywhere in the universe but he had to face the death because the missiles (arrows) were able to navigate and trace him. These missiles were so much advanced and were a major breakthrough.

That famous incident....!!!

Although Bhagwan Sri Krishna knew about Barbarik’s power, He accessed to Barbarik , himself disguised as a Brahmin and asked that how much time would it take him to finish the war.  Barbarik replied that in just a minute he can finish the battle of Mahabharata. Yogi Raj Sri Krishna wanted the proof. Barbarik replied that his three arrows were sufficient to destroy all his opponents in the war, and it would then return to his quiver. He stated that, the first arrow is used to mark all the things that he wanted to destroy. If he uses the second arrow, then the second arrow will mark all the things that he wanted to save. On using the third arrow, it will destroy all the things that are not marked and then return to his quiver. In other words, with one arrow he can fix all his targets and with the other he can destroy them. The similar question was asked to Bhishma Pitamah and others . He replied that it would take 20 days, and Dron Acharya replied 25 days, Karna replied 24 days (Karna had invincible VIJAYA BOW which would create a shield around the possessor to protect him . Thus, makes the possessor invincible in all over the universe. It was more powerful than Arjuna’s Gandiv) and Arjuna replied 28 days. But the legendary Barbaric replied one minute. How incredible is that ! So Astonishing as well!!!

Barbaric took his bow. Concentrated on his arrow and guided his first arrow to target all the leaves of peepal tree under which both the legends were standing and had conversation. Visualise the scene Yogi raj Bhagwan Sri Krishna was standing in front of great Barbarik. Indeed Wow!! what a mesmerizing scene it must be! Meanwhile Bhagwan Sri Krishna hid one leaf under his toe. When the arrow (guided missile) moved and took the blood from his toe, then Barbaric pleaded to Bhagwan Sri Krishna to remove his toe. He, with ample humbleness and with deep grief stated that Brahmin! due to mistake the leaf was under your toe and this arrow was determined to reach there. He pleaded with his hands fold to remove his toe or it will make a hole into it. Surprised by his super power Bhagwan Sri Krishna removed his toe and the arrow (missile) reached the target (It was a part of god’s play). Barbarik warned Bhagwan Sri Krishna to avoid his toe in the future because his arrow had made it vulnerable. That toe leads the death of Bhagwan Sri Krishna when a hunter named JARA shot at his toe supposing him a dear. That was the most advanced guided missile of Barbarik. We never came across such a weapon in the history of mankind, except some celestial weapons like the great SUDHARSHNA CHAKRA of Yogiraj Bhagwan Sri Krishna and Bhagwan Sri Vishnu(used to navigate by just a wish of HIM).

The same techniques were intensely studied and observed by our heroic scientist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and he has given India, The Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP) which was launched in 1983.
This program was launched with an agenda to develop five missile systems in the country – Trishul, Akash, Nag, Prithvi, and Agni. Successfully, India now is a powerful nation with such dynamic and vigorous missiles.
