A thorn is a changed bud.

"In the depths of struggle, our true strength begins to shine".

A thorn is a changed bud is a philosophical quote signifies that once a soft, innocent and vulnerable humans reforms to strong, courageous and bravehearts that have survived the struggles and hardships of the life. Melody of rivers generates because of the presence of big rocks in their way. No gain no pain.

Nothing was added to make the thorn. Something was withheld. The hardship and cruelty of the world turns out the strong and cold version of humans. No special additives are required, it's the emotions that are not rinsed properly and builds harsher personalitties. Life's oxymorons make soft and naive buds into thorns. This resembles humans life cycle as well. New born babies are innocent, quite and soft, with the challenges of life, that soft infant turns to a stronger, robust and rude adult whereas life's harshness builds bold, experienced and bitter old person that itches everyone by giving bad remarks. No empathy left with the person whose life is filled with bitterness and extreme sorrows. Just like thorns people of older age wants to make their descendants strong and sour instead of sweet and soft.

Nobody is born a thorn, people are born with love, care and warmth, they are forced to be cruel, cold and sour. Initially they are beautiful and divine at soul, eventually becomes harsh and ugly. Insurgency issue of our country elaborates how discrimination, corruption and deprivation of opportunities lead to the naxalites formation thus disrupting the nationalism and countries' peace. What if these tribals are not harrassed, their lands are not illegally captured, listened for their demands and equal opportunities must be given, no chances that insurgency can buds. But because of uneven and ill behaviours turns simple citizens of a country into hatred citizen of their own country. Negative, harsh and pessimist people come out of distress and anguish that life's circumstances serves. Not always naysayers, many times turning like thorns signifies more concentrated on our goals and least expectations from the world. Taking entire responsibility on our own and irrespective of considering the society's opinions, focusing on the aims that we have taken for ourselves. The world is not for those who are always innocent and soft, as weapons are made by melting the strong iron and then moulded into desired shape by beating in the strong conditions.

The thorn is a boundary, not an attack. Hardness in human beings is frequently protective too. The woman who is called "difficult" has usually learnt that softness was punished. The bureaucrat who is called rigid may be the one person guarding a file from pressure. The student who withdraws behind sarcasm is protecting a wound. Before we ask someone to remove their thorns, honesty requires asking what those thorns were defending - and whether we have made the world safe enough for them to be lowered. Distrust is a thorn grown from experience, and it will not be argued away.

Conclusion :-
"A thorn is a changed bud" is a sentence about hope and about responsibility at the same time. Hope that helps in building up the trust and faith in goodness and denies to embrace the cruelty or permanent damage. Responsibility, because if circumstances did the changing, then those of us who shape circumstances - parents, teachers, officers, legislators, neighbours - are implicated in what people become.

The desert did not intend cruelty when it made the cactus. But we are not the desert. We can choose what climate we create for one another. A society that provides water need not be surprised by flowers - and one that provides only drought should not pretend to be surprised by thorns.
