The quote "If I cannot be the sun that lights up the earth.....If I cannot be the sun that shines upon the earth.....I can still be a lamp and light up my street....." has a very special space at the core, reason being it defines the goal in very precise manner. Usually our society indoctrines that success means reaching the heights of the goals of life either by cracking up the exam or achieving great name fame and offcourse finances. Whereas those who fails to do so are categorised as strugglers, failures and unfortunate. Still question awakes and continues to disturb. What is the real definition of success? Is it true that achieving the goals genuinely bring that peace, humans are in search of. Not knowing much about the real meaning of life, but yes if we can't shine like sun to light the world, we can still shine like a lamp to light up our own street. It's not the playground that matters it's the footsteps that impacts to much greater extent.
Every small steps counts :- Consistency and perseverance are biggest contributors to achieve the ultimate aims of life. Like a baby learning to walk, life is giving us the choice to keep moving forward through small steps despite all the downs that may hinder our progress. These footsteps keep accumulating and make us what we are today. Significant is just to keep moving ahead irrespective of achieving milestones. Once a PM of India has delayed his visit to Raisina Hills (meeting with President) because the time of appointment was getting clashed with school timings of students and that day it was CBSE board examination day, to vanish any unnecessary traffic jams by PM security forces, he planned to post pone his meeting by 30 minutes. Very tiny yet very responsive action which brings sense of respect and dignity for elite PM. The message this very small task embraced on the students is commendable.
Progress, Not Perfection: endeavours are always valued by supreme nature. So instead running behind the perfection, crucial is to progress. As stagnant water fermentates while flowing water is more useful. Instead of trying to glow like a sun, try to lighten up like a candle that burns to eradicate the darkness around.
