Power doesn't corrupt people, people corrupt power

Beings who are pure in heart and mind, who are good- natured and believe in following the path of light, these people worship the Gods of light. Individuals who are constantly active in earning material wealth and power and those people who constantly indulge in sin and corruption while living in evil darkness, worship the evil spirits.

Greed, Pride, and Own Selfishness,

Tranquility and harmony are real happiness,,

Strive to achieve power for spreading peace,

Our good works removes evil static charge from humility like oil grease,, 

Power tends to corrupt or it is the people who absolutely corrupting the power, this argument continues to grow since ages. This quote is reflecting on how it emphasizes personal responsibility and accountability in the way power is used. It's a personal choice of a person that what path he/she chooses on getting success. Sir Rata Tata, a big entrepreneur has choosen a path of simplicity and using his money for the humanity and nation building on the other hand many corrupt politicians who are misusing their power and position to harass the common population as recently the case study of Sandeshkhali. Who is actually standing  at a deceitful platform. The power or the person behind the power.

 To counter that power corrupts there is a logical fact that states the individuals can do the things with power that they can't do without power. Humanity can be served on much more authentic manner. As we know with great power comes the great responsibility. So, responsibility never magnets corruption even sense of duty is more honourable to accomplish your goals and objectives that were decided before achieving the power. Failures and delay in success builds character while early success or born with silver spoon 🥄 concretes ego. Yes, this is the biggest reason for citing that power attracts corruption. Because, an individual never witnessed the struggle and basic amenities so understanding the pain of population is very much far from their reach therefore owing to their deficiency in knowing the absolute problems, their decisions are not value and tagged as corrupt tasks. As King Ravana, most intelligent, wise and spiritually enriched personality got corrupted as he kept self before his statehood or his own population, as he lacked that foundation building of being King unlike Lord Rama, being so talented, powerful, wise and eligible he focused on following his ancestors values and thrilled to relish the forest life so that wisdom of so many sages will be swallowed. 

Factors that makes people corrupt after achieving power :-

1.  Enduring greeds not needs - when focus is on earning and gaining self interests till desires end. And later never ends. Gandhi ji said once that we are surround by the numerous resources that can fulfill our needs but not greeds.

2. Effortless Victory - hard work prevails the sweetest fruits and easy ripening of fruits are not healthier at all. Similarly an individual gets success without efforts are never valued. Raja ka beta Raja banega never prolongs much.

3. Fail to provide Humanity - an individual is just an intelligent social animal without empathy, emotional availability, sense of social responsibility. This when people losses humility in them then no one ceases to corrupt that particular body. Leaving aside human and spiritual consciousness, erodes people to the fullest.

Sometimes it's the power also that corrupts an individual in some ways :-

1. Indecisive actions - Every position has many assets and more of liabilities. As our supreme almighty lord Krishna in the Mahabharata has deceived Karna, Bhishma Pitamah, to surrender their lives because of destiny and their Karmas. Person at the powerful position sometimes have to take harsh steps. Many times rudeness and corruption towards specific individuals are done to bring best version of themselves.

2. Justice and Equality prevails - people at powerful positions are equally responsible for sustaining the equality and justice to every population. Likewise, females entries earlier was denied at Army combat but not it is there by altering some rules and physical standards as boys rigourous physical strength parameters can't be justifiable. Now government thinking for the entry of transgenders as well. So simplification of rules might be a sign of corruption for some population where it's the demand of the present scenario.

Conclusion - 

Corruption is not a part time job. You are either corrupt or honest. It's the person's individual choice that affects this quote "Power doesn't corrupt people, people corrupt power" while many times situations are enough worsen to pressurise individual to favour the odds. Still, demand of the circumstances and always following the right path must be the recommendation while ruling or holding any higher position.
